Rachael Henry | Founder + Owner | Strength & Conditioning Coach
Rachael is the founder of Strength & Grace, a former teacher, lifelong athlete, and coach with more than a decade of experience in strength and functional fitness. She believes a barbell can be one of the most empowering things you put in a woman’s hands—and that strength built in the gym carries far beyond it.
After a decade in education, Rachael became a stay-at-home mom when her daughter was born in 2017. As a longtime athlete and CrossFit coach, she wanted to continue training through pregnancy—but quickly found that the people she looked to for guidance didn’t always have the answers. Healthcare providers offered broad, outdated restrictions, coaches weren’t sure how to adapt training for pregnancy, and after a C-section, the path back to what she loved to do felt even less clear.
That experience led Rachael to pursue her Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach certification after her son was born in 2020, determined to become the coach she wished she’d had and create the community she needed most as a new mom. It’s a philosophy that still shapes Strength & Grace today.
A former collegiate soccer player, Rachael loves lifting heavy and doing hard things—but doesn’t believe fitness needs to always be performed at a high intensity. Her coaching is rooted in evidence, curiosity, and providing women with options, not just limitations, helping women build strength and confidence through pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, menopause, and whatever comes next.
When she’s not coaching, you’ll probably find Rachael outside adventuring with her husband, two kids, and two goldens—hiking, skiing, mountain biking, paddle boarding, or camping—or attempting to make a dent in her ever-growing TBR (give her a dystopian novel or a good dragon fantasy). Usually with a black cold brew in hand while scheming up another project she definitely has time for.

Shannon LaDouce Co-Founder Strength & Nutrition Coach
Shannon is a co-founder of Strength & Grace Collective, lifelong athlete, and healthcare professional with 13 years of experience and a deep appreciation for just how connected our physical and mental well-being really are. She believes some of the most powerful things we can do for our health aren’t flashy—they’re the everyday habits we can actually sustain.
Her approach to nutrition and wellness focuses on building realistic foundations around food, movement, sleep, stress, and recovery. No perfection required. Shannon believes health is about far more than how we look—it’s about having the energy, strength, and resilience to fully participate in the lives we’re building.
A former collegiate athlete, military veteran, and single mom, Shannon’s own life has moved through plenty of seasons. These days, she trains less for competition and more to stay strong and capable alongside her kids—whether that means coaching their sports, keeping up with their adventures, or simply having something left in the tank after a long day.
She’s especially passionate about reminding women that we don’t have to fit neatly into one box: we can be strong and soft, ambitious and present, capable and still evolving. Taking care of ourselves isn’t about chasing perfection—it’s about building a life we have the strength and energy to fully live.
